Street Bean is for young people who have self-identified barriers to traditional employment and are experiencing housing instability. New Horizons’ Apprenticeship Program at Street Bean offers a four-month paid job training program working alongside professional baristas.

Participants gain work experience along with additional resources including one-on-one coaching and mentorship, connections to further employment, financial literacy classes, conflict resolution, resume-building, professional references, and so much more. This flexible, evolving program meets young people where they are—recognizing their unique strengths, circumstances, and challenges.

Apprentices also benefit from a strong connection to New Horizons, ensuring continuity of care through access to programs such as case management, shelter, hygiene, meals, and wrap-around support tailored to their needs.
